PJ Golden's former
band Mission to Mars released this album on Stereotype Records
in June 04. It features Carl Curry on drums and a rotating
cast of bassists. The one consistent thing about this offering
was its diversity - it was as if two different bands played
half the album each, one determined to rock as loudly as it
could and one satisfied to lay back with quiter, acoustic material.
Pop rock in the best sense, with sexy
vocals that mention TV and magazines (imagine a DNA splice
of Bowie and Ryan Adams), backed by high-energy instrumentation.
